No. 13 GW Women's Squash Sweeps Saturday Schedule
Colonials Post Wins Over Johns Hopkins & Bucknell
Jan. 26, 2013
WASHINGTON - The No. 13 George Washington women's squash team won a pair of Saturday matches over Johns Hopkins and Bucknell at the Matthew J. Grossman Squash Courts at Lerner Health & Wellness Center.
Friday evening's scheduled match between Johns Hopkins and GW (8-6) was moved to Saturday, but the layoff did not hinder the Colonials as they dominated in a 9-0 sweep of the Blue Jays, winning every match in straight sets.
The momentum continued into the afternoon with a 9-0 sweep of Bucknell.
The pair of wins elevated GW's record to 8-6 overall as the Colonials turn to next weekend's home-and-away slate. GW faces No. 21 Drexel at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Grossman Courts before taking a trip to Rhode Island for a Sunday matinee with No. 9 Brown.
