Colonials Pick Up Just One Win On Road

BRUNSWICK, Maine - The No. 14 George Washington women's squash team opened the Maine Round Robin with a 9-0 win over No. 23 Tufts, but was unable to continue the momentum, suffering its third straight loss on Sunday afternoon against Bowdoin at Lubin Squash Center.
GW (7-9) will conclude the 2011-12 regular season with a trio of matches at Matthew J. Grossman Squash Courts this weekend.
The Colonials swept eight of their nine wins over No. 23 Tufts on Friday but struggled to continue the momentum in the rest of the weekend. GW fell to No. 9 Bates (8-1), No. 13 Mount Holyoke (7-2) and No. 19 Bowdoin (5-4).
GW hosts Virginia on Friday before closing the regular season with a doubleheader againt Vanderbilt and Johns Hopkins on Saturday.
