WASHINGTON - The No. 13 George Washington women's squash team closed out its regular-season schedule with an 8-1 win over No. 14 Franklin & Marshall on Friday evening at the Matthew J. Grossman Squash Courts at Lerner Health & Wellness Center.

GW (10-7) will open play at the College Squash Association (CSA) Team Nationals in New Haven, Conn., on Friday against an opponent to be determined.

A trio of Colonials' freshmen posted wins in straight sets, headlined by freshman Anna Gabriela Porras and her 11-2, 11-5, 11-5 triumph over Emily Caldwell at No. 1. Emely Levyn and Alexa Tzarnas also posted straight-set victories at Nos. 3 and 4, respectively.

Levyn defeated Chelsea Ross, 11-7, 11-5, 11-5 and Tzarnas dropped Katherine Perry, 11-8, 11-6, 11-5.

Sophomore Jackie Shea dropped her first set before rallying to knock of Roxanna Mead at No. 2, 9-11, 13-11, 11-4, 11-6.

Also picking up wins for the Colonials were juniors Kelly Barnes, Maya Nair and Adriana Calderon and freshman Sarah Allen.
