WASHINGTON – In the second annual Washington-Jefferson Cup, the George Washington women’s squash team came out on top, defeating No. 13 Virginia, 5-4, on Tuesday evening at the Matthew J. Grossman Squash Courts in the Lerner Health and Wellness Center.

The Colonials swept the top third of the ladder and took key wins at five and nine to cement the rivalry victory.

UP NEXT: The Colonials are set for a pair of weekend matches, first hitting the road on Saturday at 4 p.m. to take on Dartmouth in Annapolis before returning home to host Dickinson on Sunday at 1 p.m.
