Squash Set to Host CSA Individual Nationals

WASHINGTON -- For the first time in program history, the George Washington men's and women's squash teams will play host to the College Squash Association (CSA) Individual Championships, slated to begin this Friday, March 2 and run through Sunday, March 4.

In conjunction with local squash club Squash On Fire, the Colonials will host the top men and women from over 32 university teams who will compete against each other for the National Championship and an All-American position.

GW's No. 9 men's team will have a record six players represent the Buff and Blue, including senior Oisin Logan, junior Moudy Abdel-Maksoud, sophomore Jamie Oakley, and freshmen Salim Khan, Mohammad Alterki, and Inaki de Larrauri Coral.

On the women's side, senior co-captain Abby Shonrock, sophomore Engy Elmandouh, and freshman Zoe Foo Yuk Han will represent the Colonials.

Moudy Abdel-Maksoud has received All-American honors for the first time in his career and will compete in the Pool Trophy (A-Division). The rest of the men will be competing in the Molloy Cup (B-Division) while the women compete in the Holleran Cup (B-Division).The winner of each individual B bracket will be awarded All-American recognition.
