At the Atlantic 10 Championships competed in the 50-yard freestyle, 100-yard freestyle, and the 200-yard freestyle ... posted a 50th place finish in 50-yard freestyle, 42nd in the 200-yard freestyle, and 40th in the 100-yard freestyle.
High School: Swam for Raiders coach Todd Sudol ... was team captain as a senior ... still in Hillsboro High swim team record books as a leg of the 200-yard free relay team ... away from the pool, Mehrtens was Student Council President and a member of the National Honors Society and the Latin Honor Society ... received the following scholarships: Student Council, Sheridan, CYO and AT&T ... also swam on the Somerset Valley YMCA swim team for nine years.
