Women's Swimming Ninth After Day 3 of Atlantic 10 Championships

BUFFALO, NY - The George Washington women's swimming & diving team moved up one spot to 9th place after the third day of the 2007 Atlantic 10 Championships. Emily Leik and Ariana Berdini hadthe top performance for the Colonials on the day with 10th place finishes.

Emily Leik took 10th in the 100-yard backstroke in 59.45 while Berdini touched 10th in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:07.27. Paige Davis and Katrina Timlin also placed well in the 100-yard breaststroke in 12th and 14th respectively in time of 1:07.84 and 1:08.13.

Lauren Fuchs and Shannon Ma also had solid performances on the day in the 400-yard IM and 100-yard butterfly respecively. Fuchs placed 12th in the medley touching in 4:41.29. Ma placed 11th in the fly at 59.23

The fourth and final day of the Atlantic 10 Championships will begin tomorrow at 10:30 am. The event finals will start at 6:30 pm.
