BUFFALO, N.Y. - Sophomore Caroline Myers finished second in the 500-yard freestyle with a career-best time to lead the George Washington women's swimming team on the second day of the Atlantic 10 Championships on Thursday at the Burt Flickinger Aquatic Center on the campus of Erie Community College.

The Colonials currently sit in ninth place with 86 points after two days of competition.

In the first event of the evening, Myers set the pace for the Buff and Blue squad with a notable second-place finish. Her time of 4:54.73 was less than a second behind Richmond's first-place finisher.

Freshman Janica Lee finished fourth in the B-Final of the 200-yard individual medley with a career-best time of 2:07.60.

The 200 free relay team of sophomores Sydney Saunders, Melissa Fernandez, freshman Morgan Zebley and sophomore Sloan Saunders rounded out the evening, swimming a season-best time of 1:37.02 for an eight-place finish.
