WASHINGTON, DC - The women's swimming and diving team were highlighted by 20 top five performances and one individual victory in this afternoon's Sessions at American's Reeves Aquatic Center. Sophomore Emily Leik captured the lone event on the day for the Colonials, while seven others recorded top five finishes.
Leik earned four top five finishes on the day with her highlight being the victory in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:03.33. She also placed fifth in the 200-yard distance in 2:14.79. Leik finished third in both the 100 and 200-yard freestyles in 57.79 and 2:02.85, respectively.
Senior Molly Moss and juniors Lauren Fuchs and Jessica Miga placed in the top five in three events apiece. Moss placed third and fourth in the 200 and 100-yard butterfly events, respectively in 2:17.44 and 1:03.05 in that order. Fuchs placed second and third in the 100 and 200-yard breaststrokes in 1:09.97 and 2:30.05, respectively. Miga earned a pair of second place finishes in the 100-yard freestyle and 100-yard butterfly in 55.63 and 1:01.96, respectively. She also finished fourth in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:05.23.
Junior Ariana Berdini and freshmen Noelle Miesfeld and Sarah Beggs also earned a pair of top fives on the day. Berdini finished fourth in both the 100 and 200-yard breaststrokes in 1:11.05 and 2:34.07, respectively. Both Miesfeld and Beggs earned a second place finish with Miesfeld in the 200-yard butterfly (2:14.89) and Beggs in the 100-yard backstroke (1:03.83). Noelle also finished fifth in the 100-yard butterfly (1:03.70) and Sarah took fourth in the 100-yard freestyle (57.95).

The Colonials will host conference rival La Salle on Saturday, November 3 at the Charles E. Smith Athletic Center Pool. The diving portion of the meet will start at 11:00 am while the swimming portion will commence at 1:00 pm.
