PHILADELPHIA, PA - The George Washington swim team fell to Drexel Saturday in Philadelphia when the men's team took part in a double dual meet against Drexel (154-133) and Villanova (162-130), while the women's team took on Drexel (201-83).

The Colonials women's team had a strong showing from senior Katrina Timlin, when she won the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:09.93 and took second place in the 50-yard freestyle at 25.71. Sarah Beggs won the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:00.05.

Freshmen men's swimmers looked strong for the Colonials as Niklas Glenesk won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:44.85 and Alex Etz took first in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 53.59. Stephan Franke completed the 200-yard IM in under 2 minutes.

The Colonials next compete on Nov. 20-22 at the Patriot Invitational, hosted by George Mason University, in Fairfax, VA.
