Fairfax, VA - Sophomore David Zenk won three individual events, the 200-yard IM in 1:51.95, the 400-yard IM in 3:57.73, which set a new Meet Record, and the 200-yard backstroke in 1:47.43. He also took third in the 100-yard backstroke in 50.71, and anchored the 800-yard and 400-yard freestyle relay to a second and third place finish respectively along with seniors Jeff Cohn and Dan Mahoney, and freshmen Rick Rogers and Stephen Cosme.

Cohn added the second best individual finish for the Colonials during the weekend with a sixth place in the 200-yard freestyle clocking in at 1:43.87. He also scored for GW with a 12th place finish in the 100-yard freestyle in 47.60.

Freshman Cascade Tuholske was one of six other Colonials who scored individually in two events at the three-day meet. Also scoring twice for GW individually were junior Jonathan Sabin, sophomores Ariana Berdini, Lauren Fuchs, Tom Pullen, and freshman Emily Leik. Tuholske took seventh in the 200-yard butterfly in 1:57.65 and 12th in the 400-yard IM, hitting the wall in 4:14.

Sabin notched a pair of top ten performances taking eighth in the 100 and 200-yard backstroke in 52.66 and 1:55.07 respectively.

Berdini also took a pair top tens, finishing ninth in the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke events in 1:06.87 and 2:25.67. Right behind her was Fuchs, who finished 13th in the 100-yard and 11th in the 200-yard in 1:08.20 and 2:26.98.

Leik took 13th in the 200-yard IM in 2:11.75 and 14th in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:30.22.

Pullen, like Berdini and Fuchs, scored for the Colonials in the breaststroke events, finishing 13th in the 100-yard and 15th in the 200-yard events.

Also scoring individually for GW were Rogers in the 200-yard breaststroke and junior Molly Moss in the 200-yard freestyle.

The Colonials also had five relay teams' score well during the weekend. The lineup of sophomores Luciana Maggiolo, Laura Myers, Jessica Miga and senior Shannon Ma took ninth in the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:41.31 and 10th in the 400-yard freestyle relay in 3:39.32. Miga and Ma also teamed up with Leik and Berdini to finish seventh in the 200-yard medley relay in 1:51.25.

On the men's side, Zenk, Pullen, Cosme, and Cohn took seventh in the 400-yard medley relay in 3:34.31. Sabin, Pullen, Zenk, and Cohn clocked in at 1:38.42, finishing eighth in the 200-yard medley relay.

Freshmen Cissey Ye, Katrina Timlin, and junior Andrea Martin were all part of multiple relay teams that scored for GW on the weekend. The trio teamed with Leik to finish the 400-yard freestyle relay in 3:44.23. They also teamed with Moss in the 200-yard freestyle relay, hitting the wall in 1:43.38.

The Colonials return to action in their first home meet of the season on December 2 to go head-to-head with the Monarchs of Old Dominion University.
