WASHINGTON, DC - The George Washington men's and women's swim programs were both named 2010 All-Academic Teams by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), the organization announced June 30. The Colonials women's program was ranked among the Top 5 of all NCAA Division I programs for the second straight semester.

The 12-member women's squad ranked fifth with a combined team grade-point average of 3.55 for the Spring 2010 semester after finishing fourth nationally with a 3.48 GPA in Fall 2009.

"It's a great honor for both programs, especially for our women in having finished in the Top 5 for the second straight semester," said head coach Dan Rhinehart. "We expect to continue this trend of academic excellence in the coming seasons."

The Colonials men's team was one of 60 NCAA Division I programs to post a combined team GPA of 3.00 or better for the Spring 2010 semester.
