Atlantic 10 Names Paola Leor Swimming & Diving Rookie of the Week

Leor Nabs First Atlantic 10 Honor With Meet Record Time In the 50-Yard Freestyle

PHILADELPHIA, PA - The Atlantic 10 Conference announced today that freshman Paola Leor (Miami, FL/Miami Killian) has been named the A-10 Women's Swimming & Diving Rookie of the Week. This marks the first time in Leor's young career that she has received a conference weekly honor.

This past weekend in a two-day annual Invitational at local rivals Catholic and American, Leor set a meet record with a 24.72 in the 50-yard freestyle. Earlier that weekend, Leor added a second place performance in the 500-yard freestyle, touching the wall in 5:11.88.

Leor and the Colonials' next competition is scheduled for Saturday, November 3 against conference rival La Salle at the Charles E. Smith Athletic Center. The diving portion of the meet will start at 11:00 am, while the swimming half will begin at 1:00 pm.
