Dawn Buth begins her ninth year as head coach of The George Washington University women's tennis program in the 2012-13 season.

During the 2011-12 season Buth's squad made its way to the quarterfinal match of the Atlantic 10 Championship for the third straight year, where the Colonials to eventual champion Richmond. Under Buth's guidance, senior Jacqueline Corba and sophomore Leah Pascarella were named to the A-10 All-Conference First and Second Teams, respectively. Additionally, Corba became just the third Colonial in program history to earn four-straight all-conference honors. Buth's team was also recognized at the end of the season as anITA All-Academic Team.

In 2009-10, Buth guided the Colonials to a second-place finish in the Atlantic 10, their most successful finish in 13 years and first 11-win season since 2001-02. After the 2010 Championship, Buth was named the Women's Tennis program's second Atlantic 10 Women's Tennis Coach of the Year. Buth's leadership success continued to the classroom as the Colonials were awarded the prominent NCAA Public Recognition Award for outstanding academic achievement at the start of the 2010 fall season.

Prior to GW, Buth served as an assistant coach at the University of Pennsylvania during the 2003-04 campaign. She helped guide the Quakers to a 15-5 overall record, a 5-2 mark in the Ivy League, and the highest national ranking in the program's history in 2004. Penn battled four nationally-ranked opponents in dual matches, defeating No. 51 Maryland and No. 31 Virginia Commonwealth en route to a No. 28 ranking in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) polls in March `04.

The Wichita, KS, native also worked as an assistant tennis professional at the Gainesville (FL) Country Club from 2002-03 and played professionally on the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) circuit from 1998-2001. Buth was ranked as high as 96th in the world in singles, while reaching 108th in doubles during her three years on tour. She earned 12 International Tennis Federation (ITF) doubles titles, two singles championships and played in the main draw of every Grand Slam Tournament.

A 2002 graduate of the University of Florida, Buth was a seven-time All-America selection and a key member of the Gators' 1996 and `98 NCAA championship teams. Buth, who won the NCAA doubles title in 1996 and `97, also was named the NCAA Rookie of the Year in 1995, was nominated for the prestigious Honda-Broderick Award in 1996 and will be inducted into the 2011 University of Florida Athletic Hall of Fame.
