Women’s Tennis Tops Harvard in Season Opener

WASHINGTON – The George Washington women’s tennis squad opened the 2018 season by edging Harvard, 4-3, on Saturday afternoon at the Southeast Tennis and Learning Center (STLC). The Colonials dominated in doubles play, sweeping the Crimson, 2-1, and posted a 3-3 mark in singles action. With the match tied at 3-3, it was Sara Grubac’s close 7-6(4), 6-4 win over Neha Gupta that clinched the GW victory.

BROWNING'S BULLETS: "I am so happy for this team. This is our biggest win in program history. And it's all due to the hard work they've put in. They bought in to what we have preached and it showed today. It was a total team effort and they deserved it. I'm very proud of them and this is only the beginning. We still have a lot of work to do, but this is was an amazing start to the season."
