WASHINGTON – The George Washington women’s tennis team continued its hot start to the 2018 season when it defeated Delaware, 5-2, on Saturday afternoon at the Southeast Tennis and Learning Center (STLC). The Colonials took two wins in doubles play to give them an early 1-0 edge before dominating in singles, 4-2, to improve to 2-0 on the season.

BROWNING’S BULLETS: “We played a very tough team today. Delaware is a very good team but we were able to raise our level when we needed to. Very proud of everyone's effort today. Really nice to start off with two tough teams like this and do well in both matches.”

LOOK AHEAD: The Colonials continue their season-opening home stand next week when they host Navy on Friday at 1 p.m. and Temple on Saturday at 9 a.m at the STLC.
