Women's Tennis Downed by Old Dominion

NORFOLK, VA - The George Washington women's tennis began their 2007 spring schedule on Thursday, falling at Old Dominion by a final score of 7-0. The Lady Monarchs won all the matches in straight sets.

GW's No. 1 singles player, junior Kendall Swenson, fell to ODU's Charleen Haarhoff, a player ranked 93rd in the country, 6-4, 6-2. ODU took the doubles point as well, winning all three matches by a final of 8-2.

The Colonials will look to rebound next weekend when they host local rival George Mason on Saturday, February 17, at 1:00 p.m. The match will be played at the Montclair Country Club in Montclair, VA.
