PITTSBURGH, PA - The George Washington University women's tennis team was defeated by Duquesne, 5-2, Sunday afternoon in Pittsburgh, PA.

Duquesne won the double points after winning the No. 1 and No. 2 flights over Nadia Demidenko and Jacqui Corba (8-4) and Jennifer Hirsh and Madhuri Jha (8-2). Verena Knoedler and Zoe Krohn won the only doubles point 8-7 (2) for GW in the No. 3 spot.

The Colonials' Demidenko won the No. 1 singles flight 7-5, 6-2 and Corba won her match in the No. 3 flight 6-2, 6-4. Duquesne defeated GW in each of the other four match-ups.

Women's tennis is back in action on Feb. 20, at Penn in Philidelphia, PA at 2:00 p.m.
