MONTCLAIR, VA - The George Washington women's tennis team (2-4, 0-1 A-10) lost the doubles portion of their match against the University of Delaware (3-5) and eventually fell 4-3 on Saturday. The loss was the third straight at home for the Colonials.

The Blue Hens took all three of the doubles matches to capture the doubles point.

Junior Kendall Swenson (10-3) began the singles play and defeated Amanda Campbell 6-1, 7-5. It was Swenson's fourth win in her last five competitions. No. 2 seed Madhuri Jha (5-6) won her match in straight sets, as did senior Rachael Honig (4-2).

The Colonials will resume their spring schedule next Wednesday when they travel westward to play two matches in Arizona, both at Grand Canyon University. Wednesday's match is against the host school at 4:30 p.m. and Thursday GW will face off against Mesa State at 10:00 a.m.

Friday's match, originally set for a 2:00 p.m. start at Towson, has been rescheduled because of impending winter weather. The two teams will now meet April at 12:00 p.m.
