Women's Tennis Falls to Temple, 4-3

PHILADELPHIA, PA - The George Washington women's tennis team fell at Temple, 4-3, in an Atlantic 10 Conference match on Thursday, March 17, in Philadelphia. The Colonials fell behind early as the Owls won 2-of-3 doubles matches to go ahead 1-0 in the contest. Junior Anastasia Skavronskaia (Miami, FL) and freshman Kendall Swenson (Shaker Heights, OH) won at No. 1 doubles, 8-4, for GW's lone win. Skavronskaia and Swenson notched two of GW's three points in singles play with straight-set wins at the No. 1 and 3 positions, respectively. Senior Sevla Gonca (Ankara, Turkey) also won at fifth singles, 6-4, 6-2, against Laura Seiverling.
