NEWARK, DE - The George Washington women's tennis team fell to Delware Sunday, 5-2, to fall to 4-7 on the season.

In singles play, Nadia Demidenko defeated her Delaware opponent, Elana Berry, 7-5, 6-1 at the No. 1 position. Jacqui Corba followed with a victory over Megan Doran, 6-2, 7-5, at No. 2, but those would be the only wins for GW in the singles match-ups.

No. 2 doubles duo of Jennifer Hirsh and Meg Tyner defeated Ivan Petrich and Samantha Carnall 8-4 for the only GW victory in doubles against Delaware.

GW fell to Xavier on Saturday, Mar. 21, 4-3 in Washington, DC. The Colonials got victories from Demidenko, Corba and Hirsh in the top 3 singles flights but were unable to get any more singles or doubles wins.

The Colonials next face UMBC on Mar. 28 at 12:00 p.m. in Baltimore, MD.
