TOWSON, MD - George Washington women's tennis defeated Towson, 5-1, Friday.

The singles matches were only played between the teams after running out of time at the indoor facility.

In the No. 1 flight, Nadia Demidenko dropped the first set to Towson's Caitlin White before coming back to take the next two, 1-6, 6-2, 6-2. The same was the case for Jennifer Hirsh in the No. 3 flight. Hirsh battled back to win 4-6, 6-4,6-1, over Lauren Cloonan.

The Colonials only dropped the No. 6 flight to Towson, Cassandra Ng winning 6-2, 6-4, over Michele Style.

The Colonials are in action again at the Mount Vernon Tennis Center on April 6, hosting Binghamton at 1:30 p.m.
