MONTCLAIR, VA - The George Washington University women's tennis team fell to Massachusetts, 4-1, Saturday afternoon in Atlantic 10 Conference action at Montclair Country Club. Sophomore Kendall Swenson (Shaker Heights, OH) won in straight sets at No. 2 to post the Colonials' lone point.

The Minutewomen captured the doubles point and won 3-of-4 singles matches to clinch the victory. Singles matches at No. 3 and No. 4 were not finished as UMass had travel obligations to attend to and the match was already in its favor.

In doubles play, seniors Sandra Simunic (Westerville, OH) and Anastasia Skavronskaia (Miami, FL) won their third straight match at No. 1.

The Colonials (4-8, 1-4 A-10) are back in action when they travel to American on Thursday, April 13, for a 2:30 p.m. match against the Eagles.
