Women's Tennis' Season Ends with Rainout

FAIRFAX, VA - George Washington women's tennis match against local rival George Mason, Saturday, was cancelled due to rain in the area.

The Colonials match against Mason was et to be one last tune-up before the team started training for the 2009 Atlantic 10 Tennis Championships, April 17-19, in Monroeville, PA.

GW finished the 2009 regular season, 6-9, with victories over Georgetown, James Madison and Temple.

Freshman Jacqui Corba led the team with a singles record of 11-4, while going 7-7 in doubles paired with sophomore Nadia Demidenko. Demidenko finished the season at 10-5 in singles.
