Women's Tennis Goes 1-1 on the Weekend

WASHINGTON, DC - The George Washington women's tennis team went 1-1 this past weekend by defeating James Madison, 5-2, on Friday, April 9, but falling to American on Saturday, April 10. The Colonials were led by sophomore Anastasia Skavronskaia (Miami, FL/Ransom Everglades), who went undefeated on the weekend in both singles and doubles play. Junior Sevla Gonca (Ankara, Turkey/Bilkent) won three of her four matches. GW's record now stands at 6-7 on the season as they enter Atlantic 10 Tournament play starting on Friday, April 16 in College Park, MD.
