PHILADELPHIA, PA - The GW women's tennis team dropped two matches over the weekend, April 12 and 13, to Massachusetts, 6-1, and Temple, 5-2. The losses bring the Colonials record to 4-10 on the season.
Sophomore Sevla Gonca (Ankara, Turkey/Bilkent) posted two victories for the Colonials in singles play while the team of sophomore Natasha Bode (Paradise Valley, AZ/Xavier Prep) and freshman Estee Bartell (San Diego, CA/Torrey Pines) did the same in doubles competition.
GW will now prepare for the Atlantic 10 Championships, to be held from Thursday, April 17 to Saturday, April 19 in College Park, MD.
