Women's Tennis Falls to Temple, 4-3

WASHINGTON, DC - The fifth-seeded George Washington women's tennis team came up just short versus fourth-seeded Temple on Friday, April 16, dropping their quarterfinal match, 4-3. The Colonials will now face Dayton in their quest to secure fifth place in the tournament.

GW started by taking the doubles point after winning two of the three doubles matches. But, the Colonials could only manage two singles victories , one by sophomore Anastasia Skavronskaia (Miami, FL/Ransom Everglads) at number five and the other by junior Sevla Gonca (Ankara, Turkey/Bilkent) at number six.

Temple advanced and will play Richmond in the semifinals on Saturday, April 17.
