PITTSBURGH, PA - George Washington women's tennis (5-8) lost at Duquesne on Friday afternoon, 7-0, in their 2006-07 regular season finale.

The Dukes took all three matches in the doubles portion of the competition, including an 8-1 victory in the No. 1 flight, Hughes/Poole over Kendall Swenson / Madhuri Jha.

In singles play, Swenson lost her match from the No. 1 position, battling into a third set before falling 6-4, 3-6, 1-0 (10-6). In the No. 2 flight, Jha lost, 6-3, 6-2.

GW, losers in four of their past five matches, will await their seeding for the 2007 Atlantic 10 Women's Tennis Championship, beginning Friday, April 20. All the matches will be held at the Club 4 Life in Monroeville, PA.
