Xavier Knocks Off Women's Tennis, 4-1, at A-10 Championship

MONROEVILLE, PA - The George Washington University women's tennis team fell to third-seeded Xavier, 4-1, Saturday morning in the quarterfinals of the 2006 Atlantic 10 Women's Tennis Championship at Club 4 Life. Sophomore Tracy Stecko (Lake Forest, IL) won her fourth consecutive singles match for the Colonials' only point. The sixth-seeded Colonials advanced to the quarterfinals with a 4-0 shutout victory against 11th-seeded Rhode Island on Friday. GW (6-10) will now face seventh-seeded Saint Louis at 6 p.m. on Saturday. The Billikens fell 4-1 to second-seeded Charlotte in the quarterfinals Friday afternoon. #3 Xavier 4, #6 GW 1Doubles 1.
