Women’s Tennis Concludes Play at Blue and Gold Invite

ANNAOPLIS, Md. – The George Washington women’s tennis squad wrapped up competition at Navy’s Blue and Gold Invitational on Sunday.

In doubles action, senior Mare-Louise Decamps and junior Victoria Kogan fell to Navy’s Aimee Dervishian and Danika Kahtapitiya, 6-1, in the B flight doubles finals. The pair finishes the weekend with a 4-1 record.

In singles play, Kogan defeated Towson’s Renate Van Oorschodt in the C flight consolation singles final, 8-2.

The Colonials are back in action next weekend when they head to Blacksburg, Virginia for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Regionals.
