ANNAPOLIS, Md. – George Washington women’s tennis senior Dorota Lysienia won the Flight C consolation singles final on the third and final day of the fourth annual Navy Blue & Gold Invitational on Sunday at the Midshipmen’s Brigade Sports Complex.

The lone Colonials player to compete on Sunday, Lysienia defeated host Navy’s Mikaela Carlson by set scores of 6-1, 6-3 to earn the Flight C back draw final.

The Warsaw, Poland, native moved through the first round of the Flight C back draw by default, then defeated Vivian Chau from Navy, 6-3, 3-6 (7) in the semifinals to advance to Sunday's final.

Lysienia and GW return to action on Friday, Oct. 19, for the five-day ITA Atlantic Regional Championship hosted by Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va.
