NORFOLK, Va. – Playing in its third straight day of competition, the George Washington women’s tennis team completed the third day of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Atlantic Regional Championship Sunday at Old Dominion’s Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center.

In the singles consolation round, sophomore Leah Pascarella posted her third straight victory with a 6-7 (3), 6-4, 1-0 (5) tie-breaking win over Sydney Smith of William and Mary.

Senior Jacqueline Corba dropped a 6-4, 6-1 match to Temple’s Paola Calderon, and sophomore Julia Blakeley fell to Jordan Batey of Temple, 6-2, 6-3.

Junior Mimi Hamling and senior Zoe Krohn dropped an 8-1 doubles match to the top-seeded Lindsey Hardenbergh and Erin Vierra of Virginia.

Action continues at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center on Monday morning.
