Women’s Tennis Closes Fall Season at Hokie Invite

BLACKSBURG, Va. – The George Washington women’s tennis team wrapped fall play with a strong final day at the Hokie Invite hosted by Virginia Tech.

In singles consolation action, the Colonials finished the day with a 3-1 record. Senior Marie-Louise Decamps claimed her singles consolation Leadership Flight title with a victory over Penn State’s Bennett Dunn, 6-3, 6-2.

Junior Maria Siopacha and freshman Julia Herlogsson also had a strong day in their consolation matches, with Siaopacha defeating Paola Diz-Delgado from VCU, 6-2, 6-1, and Herlogsson defeating Penn State’s Liyun Xu, 6-2, 6-0.

The Colonials will begin their Atlantic 10 season in the spring semester.
