Jan. 31, 2014
WASHINGTON – George Washington women’s tennis travels to Annapolis, Md., on Saturday afternoon to face Navy at the indoor Tose Family Tennis Center in the Brigade Sports Complex. First serve is slated for 11 a.m.
GW (0-1) looks to bounce back from a 6-1 season-opening loss at Maryland last Saturday. Senior Leah Pascarella picked up a victory for the Colonials with a 4-6, 6-2 (10-6) win at the No. 2 singles spot.
Navy (3-1) is coming off a 4-3 win over Georgetown on Sunday to extend its school-record home winning streak to 18 matches. Sam Droop, Darien Sears and Erin Snook lead the Midshipmen with team-best dual match records of 2-1.
The last time GW and Navy met in a dual match was during the 2012 season when the Colonials earned a commanding 6-1 victory over the Midshipmen.
