NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - After sweeping weekend competition, George Washington sophomore Lana Robins was named the Atlantic 10 Women's Tennis Performer of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday .

Robins, who entered the season with a No. 17 Atlantic Region singles ranking by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), went undefeated in singles and doubles play in GW's narrow 4-3 loss to Navy on Saturday. The Bellevue, Wash., native held Navy's Erin Snook to just two games in a dominating 6-2, 6-0 victory at the No. 1 singles spot. She also teamed up with rookie Grace Egger for a 6-1 No. 1 doubles victory over the Midshipmen's Mikaela Carlson and Noelle Kaufmann.

The sophomore standout currently owns an overall singles record of 10-5 and is 1-1 through dual-match play, while she and Egger are 9-4 overall in doubles and 1-1 on the spring season.

Robins and GW return to the court on Friday, Feb. 14 when the squad opens home action against Liberty at the Wheaton Indoor Tennis Center in Wheaton, Md. Action is slated for 12 p.m.
