Feb. 7, 2018

SERVING FIRST: The George Washington women’s tennis team will travel to Morgantown to take on the West Virginia Mountaineers for a 1pm matchup on Saturday.

LAST TIME OUT: The Colonials will hit the road for the first time in 2018 after a 3-1 home stand. After being edged by Navy, 4-3, on Friday, the Colonials bounced back with a convincing 6-1 win over Temple on Saturday.

HELP FROM HERLOGSSON: Freshman Julia Herlogsson is cementing herself as a key piece of the Colonials women's tennis squad this season. After starting 2018 with a perfect 3-0 record in singles play, Herlogsson kept her record spotless after winning her match against Temple in straight sets on Saturday. The Gothenberg, Sweden, native is the only Colonial to not drop a match in 2018.

ABOUT WEST VIRGINIA: The Mountaineers are 0-2 in 2018 after consecutive home losses against James Madison and VCU. Led by senior Lyn Yuen Choo, West Virginia will finish up their home stand against GW on Saturday before hitting the road for a match against Akron.

SERIES HISTORY: The Colonials last met the Mountaineers in 2012, when West Virginia edged GW, 4-3.
