GW (4-5, 2-2 A-10), which defeated Duquesne, 4-3, on the road last season, looks to rebound from a 7-0 loss at VCU on Saturday. The Colonials are led this season by senior Leah Pascarella, with an overall record of 13-7 and a 7-2 mark this spring, as well as sophomore Lana Robins, who is 14-8 overall and 5-4 in dual matches. Robins and doubles partner freshman Grace Egger own an overall record of 14-4 and have gone a notable 6-1 this spring season. The pair is currently on a seven-match unbeaten streak dating back to Feb. 1.
Duquesne (5-8, 2-1 A-10) is on a three-match skid after suffering losses to Pittsburgh (5-2), Delaware (4-3) and league foe Saint Joseph’s (5-2). Alexa Miller paces the team as the Dukes’ No. 2 singles competitor with a record of 10-2, and is the only player with a record above .500 this spring. The No. 2 doubles tandem of Miller and Judy Li is 8-1 on the season and 3-0 in A-10 play. The Dukes host A-10 foe Dayton on Friday at 5:30 p.m., before welcoming the Colonials on Sunday morning.
