Women's Tennis Secures 5th Seed at A-10 Championship

WASHINGTON - The George Washington women's tennis team drew the 5th seed at the 14-team 2010 Atlantic 10 Women's Tennis Championship. The event takes place at the Dwight Davis Tennis Center in St. Louis, Mo., April 23-25.
GW is set to play 12-seed St. Bonaventure on Friday, April 23, at 1:00 p.m. CT in the top half of the bracket. The Colonials hosted the Bonnies on March 27 at the Mount Vernon Tennis Center and posted a 7-0 victory.
Two-time A-10 Rookie of the Week, freshman Mimi Hamling didn't allow SBU's Maria Barousse to score a point in their No. 2 singles match won by Hamling, 6-0, 6-0.
The Colonials are led by sophomore co-captain Jacqueline Corba, who concluded the regular season on a four-match winning streak. Corba enters the A-10 Championship with a 14-4 record at No. 1 singles.
