NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - George Washington senior Leah Pascarella has been named the Atlantic 10 Women's Tennis Co-Performer of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday in its final round of weekly awards.

Pascarella earned No. 1 singles and No. 3 doubles victories to help GW to a 6-1 win over George Mason in its regular-season finale at home on Saturday. The victory also lifted the Colonials to a 9-8 advantage over the Patriots in the Revolutionary Rivalry standings.

The Frankfort, Ill., native first teamed up with sophomore Christina Carpenter at No. 3 doubles for an 8-3 win over Mason's Marijke Boers and Mina Saygi. Pascarella then closed out her home career in notable fashion on Senior Day as she held Brittany Pilkington scoreless in a 6-0, 6-0 romp at the No. 1 singles spot.

She is 16-8 overall in singles this season and owns a team-best record of 10-3 this spring. Pascarella has gone 8-2 in her last 10 matches and enters the A-10 Championship with a 5-2 mark against conference opponents. She is also 8-9 overall in doubles and 6-3 at the No. 3 position this season.

The weekly award marks Pascarella's second of the season and fourth of her career, as she was also named Performer of the Week on March 18, 2014, Feb. 27, 2013 and Jan. 30, 2012. She shares the accolade with Yuliana Motyl of Massachusetts.

Pascarella and third-seeded GW head to Mason, Ohio, this week for the 2014 A-10 Championship. After receiving a first-round bye, the Colonials will face the winner of sixth-seeded Saint Joseph's and 11th-seeded George Mason in the quarterfinals on Friday at 1 p.m.
