Jacqueline Corba Named 2009-10 Women's Tennis MVP

WASHINGTON, DC- Jacqueline Corba was named the 2009-10 women's tennis Most Valuable Player at The George Washington University annual Senior Honors Luncheon held on April 29. A sophomore from Greenwich, CT, Corba twice earned A-10 Performer of the Week honors this season while posting a 14-4 overall record at No. 1 singles. She led the Colonials with a 4-1 regular-season mark against A-10 opponents and went 3-0 at both No. 1 singles at the A-10 Championship. Her victory in the deciding match of the semifinals against Charlotte advanced GW to the A-10 title match for the first time since 1997.
