Women’s Tennis Wraps Day One at Seahawk National Invite

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The George Washington women’s tennis team went a combined 5-3 on the opening day of the Seahawk National Invitational on Friday at the UNCW courts.

Under near-perfect conditions, the Colonials went 3-1 in singles and 2-2 in doubles on the first day of the three-day tournament involving nine teams from seven different conferences.

GW continues on in doubles action against Winthrop, Lynchburg College, and Penn State, and will take on Coastal Carolina in singles play on Saturday.
