Erin Moore is in her sixth season with the GW Volleyball program. She was elevated to Associate Head Coach in July 2015.
Moore helped the Colonials to their second consecutive 20-win season, and third in five years, in 2015 (21-11) and the team's third consecutive appearance in the Atlantic 10 Championship Semifinals. She continued the development of GW's middle blockers in 2015, helping then-junior Chidima Osuchukwu to a repeat appearance on both the AVCA All-East Region Team and the Atlantic 10 All-Conference First Team. Osuchukwu, a conference-record six-time A-10 Player of the Week during the season, led the conference in both total blocks (168) and blocks per set (1.51) for the second consecutive season. Moore also played a key role in the mentorship of freshman middle blocker Kelsey Clark, who was named the Atlantic 10 Co-Rookie of the Year after finishing the season with 288 kills, 145 digs, 44 blocks and 16 service aces.
In 2014, Moore helped GW to its most successful season since 2000 as the Colonials finished with a 22-8 overall record, an 11-3 mark in Atlantic 10 matches and the team's first appearance in the A-10 Championship match since 2002.
Primarily responsible for the coaching of GW's middle blockers, Moore helped then-sophomore Chidima Osuchukwu earn an Atlantic 10 First Team All-Conference selection after leading the Atlantic 10 in both blocks per set (1.47, 8th in NCAA) and total blocks (162, 15th in NCAA). As a team, the Colonials paced the Atlantic 10 in blocks per set (2.75, 21st in NCAA) and ranked second in total blocks (303, 39th in NCAA).
She came to GW after serving as Director of Operations for the University of Michigan volleyball program from 2006-10. She also spent parts of eight seasons playing professionally in Spain and Puerto Rico.
Moore concluded a standout playing career at the University of Michigan by being named an All-American in 2003, the first player in the 31-year history of the Michigan volleyball program to earn the honor. She was a two-time captain with the Wolverines, earning All-Big Ten first team honors in 2002 and 2003, while picking up honorable mention All-Big Ten in 2001.
Moore holds the Michigan single-season record for blocks (161) and still ranks among the top five players all-time in five statistical categories (kills, attack attempts, hitting percentage, total blocks, block assists). She was also honored for her classroom accomplishments in 2003, earning a spot on the Academic All-Big Ten Volleyball team and the CoSIDA University Division Academic All-District IV Volleyball second team.
For the past five seasons she has played professionally in Puerto Rico for Criollas de Caguas (2007-08, 2013), Corozal (2009) and Bayamon (2010-11). She also spent two seasons playing in Benidorm, Spain (2004-06).
