Volleyball Overwhelmed by Eastern Washington, 3-0

Final Stats

BOISE, ID - The GW volleyball team fell to a strong Eastern Washington squad, 30-18, 30-26, 30-21, Saturday afternoon in the Boise State Invitational. The unranked Eagles improved to a perfect 10-0 on the season after shocking No. 8 Utah Friday.

Junior Ruth Lazzari (Seal Beach, CA/Connelly) led all players with 13 kills and a team-high 12 digs at the BSU Pavilion. Junior co-captain Sarah Hokom (Caldwell, ID/Caldwell) contributed nine kills in defeat.

EWU's Lindsay Page tallied 11 kills and four blocks while Janelle Ruen had 10 kills and 14 digs. EWU amassed 52 kills and hit .358 while GW recorded 33 kills and hit .086 as a team.

GW (6-3) next plays No. 8 Utah (6-2) later on Saturday in the Boise State Invitational.
