Final Stats

DAYTON, OH - GW's Juliene McLaughlin pounded 10 kills but it wasn't enough to keep the Colonials from suffering their sixth straight defeat, this time to Dayton Saturday night in Ohio. The Flyers won the match, 30-21, 30-20, 30-26 at the Frericks Center on the UD campus.

UD combined to hit .285 with 55 kills compared to .094 on 36 kills for GW. Colonials' junior Lindsey Vernand added nine kills while libero Jessica Vesey contributed a match-high 16 digs.

Dayton (14-6, 6-1 A-10) was led by Christy Utnage and Faye Barhorst with 18 kills each. Utnage double-doubled with 15 digs to go with her 18 kills.

Much of the match was decided at the net where Dayton out-blocked GW, 11-7.

GW (4-14, 1-6 A-10) will play at American University Tuesday night in a 7:00 p.m. match at Bender Arena.
