Volleyball Swept at Xavier, 3-0

CINCINNATI, OH (Nov. 10) - Sophomore Ruth Lazzari (Seal Beach, CA) led all players with 14 kills and 14 digs but it wasn't enough as Xavier defeated the Colonials, 30-22, 30-25, 30-18, Saturday night in a one-hour, 17-minute match at Xavier's Cintas Center.

Xavier (22-3, 12-3 A-10) led by a trio of players with 13 kills each, out-hit GW .303 to .134, with eight fewer attack errors, in the match.

GW (6-17, 5-10 A-10) returns to Smith Center Tuesday night for a match against Temple in the season finale beginning at 7:00 p.m. GW's lone senior, Shannon Farley (Hopewell Junction, NY), will be honored in a pre-match ceremony.
