WASHINGTON - The George Washington volleyball team opened the final weekend of the regular season on Friday afternoon with a 3-0 loss to visiting Dayton at the Charles E. Smith Center.

    Set 2: Dayton 25, GW 21

  • Dayton opened on an 8-3 run to force an early timeout.
  • GW responded in a big way, rattling off a 10-4 run to briefly grab a 13-12 lead.
  • The score remained close with each team assuming small leads until the Flyers pulled ahead late before clinching the set with a 25-21 win.

    Set 3: Dayton 25, GW 12

  • Dayton hit .370 with just one attack error in the third set.
  • The Flyers opened on a 12-3 run and never looked back.
