GW Volleyball Visits Georgetown on Wednesday For Non-Conference Clash
Colonials Have Won Three Straight Against Hoyas

WASHINGTON - The George Washington volleyball team will make the short trip across town on Wednesday evening for a non-conference match at Georgetown at 7 p.m. at McDonough Arena.
GW (3-3) went 2-1 at last weekend's UCF Classic to elevate their season record to .500. Freshman Chidima Osuchukwu was named to the All-Tournament team after hitting .421 with 19 kills and just three attack errors to go with 12.0 blocks (six solo, six assist) across the three matches. The Virginia Beach, Va., native currently ranks fourth in the Atlantic 10 with a .346 attack percentage.
Junior Kelsey Newman leads GW's offense with 70 kills, followed by senior Rachael Goss' 53 winners. Defensively, sophomore Maddy Doyle leads the team and ranks third in the Atlantic 10, averaging 4.61 digs per set. At the net, Osuchukwu paces the Colonials with 23 blocks (8 solo, 15 assist).
Georgetown (3-4) is led on offense by the trio of Lauren Saar (81 kills), Alex Johnson (78 kills) and Dani White (75 kills, .306). As a team, the Hoyas rank fourth in the BIG EAST in opponent hitting percentage (.188), sixth in blocks (2.11/set) and second in digs (17.39/set).
GW has won three matches in a row over Georgetown and leads the all-time series, 35-28. The teams last met in September 2011, a 3-2 GW victory at Smith Center to clinch the DC Challenge championship.
