WASHINGTON - The George Washington volleyball team concludes its non-conference tournament schedule at this weekend's Huskie Invitational, hosted by Northern Illinois University.

The Colonials will play a doubleheader on Friday against Western Illinois (11 a.m. ET) and the host Huskies (3 p.m. ET) before facing IPFW on Saturday (12 p.m. ET). Also participating in the tournament is the University of Oakland.

The Colonials are 1-2 all-time against Western Illinois, lost in their only meeting against Northern Illinois in 1989 and have never faced IPFW.

GW (4-6) is coming off a 1-2 weekend at the Carolina Classic. Sophomore Maddy Doyle, the Atlantic 10 leader in digs at 5.11 per set, was named to the All-Tournament team and freshman Chidima Osuchukwu earned her first career Atlantic 10 weekly award for her play over the past week.

Osuchukwu was named the A-10 Rookie of the Week after hitting .361 with 28 kills and 17.0 blocks (seven solo). The Virginia Beach, Va., native currently leads the Atlantic 10 with a .353 attack percentage and ranks ninth overall in the league with 1.08 blocks per set (40.0 total).

Senior Rachael Goss leads GW's offense with 86 kills in 37 sets while junior Kelsey Newman ranks second with 73 winners.

Western Illinois enters the weekend with a 5-8 record after Wednesday's win over Chicago State, which snapped a three-match losing streak.

Northern Illinois is 5-6 overall this season after Wednesday's loss to Northern Iowa. The Huskies are led offensively by the duo of MacKenzie Roddy (143 kills) and Sarah Angelos (117 kills), while Jenna Radtke has posted a team-high 37 blocks.

IPFW, a 2012 NCAA Tournament participant, is 6-6 this season but on a four-match losing streak after being swept in four straight matches at the Butler Invitational.
