Volleyball In Action at Howard on Tuesday

LEADING OFF: The George Washington volleyball team will begin to wrap up its current seven-match swing away from home with the first of three local road matches on Tuesday night when it visits Howard at Burr Gymnasium. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT: GW was bested in a pair of Atlantic 10 matches over the weekend, falling 3-1 in both matches at Rhode Island and Fordham.



DIGGING TO THE TOP: The Colonials rank second in the Atlantic 10 with 1,002 total digs on the season and are one of just two teams in the conference to crack the 1,000-dig mark. GW also ranks third in the conference with an average of 14.52 digs per set.

DOUBLE-DOUBLES: Senior Aaliya Davidson double-doubled for the second time this fall with a season-high 16 kills and 11 digs against Fordham.

Sophomore Jaimeson Lee continues to lead the Colonials with seven double-doubles after posting 22 assists and 13 digs and Rhode Island on Friday night. Graduate student Stacey Benton ranks second on the team with three double-doubles.

SERIES HISTORY: Tuesday night marks the first meeting in six years between the Colonials and the Bison. GW won in straight sets the last time the teams played in August 2011 to improve its all-time record in the series to 19-6.

LOOK AHEAD: GW will visit George Mason on Friday night to renew the Revolutionary Rivalry before wrapping its road swing at American on October 11.
