NEWPORT NEWS, VA -- Senior Katie Zulandt and sophomore Lauren Whyte have been named the Atlantic 10 All-Conference Second Team for volleyball in voting conducted among the Conference's head coaches, the league office announced Thursday. It marks the second postseason All-Conference honor for Whyte and first for Zulandt. Whyte also was named to the league's Academic All-Conference team.

She recorded 15 double-doubles (kills/digs) this season. She registered double-figure kills in 27 of GW's 32 matches. Whyte also maintained a 3.89 GPA as a mathematics major to earn a spot on the Academic All-Conference squad.

Zulandt, a senior middle blocker from Chardon, OH, led the Colonials in hitting percentage (.357) and blocks with 90 total (14 solo, 76 assisted) this season and is second on the team in both kills (278) and points (344.0).

GW finished the 2010 season with a 17-15 overall record and 6-9 (7th place) in the A-10 under 11th-year head coach Jojit Coronel.
